Cedara I-Connect™ Components & Contents

All the Features and Components that You'll Need

Cedara I-Connect has a full compliment of components and services for DR acquisition.

Application
The application provides the UI that allows the user (operator) to interact with the system. The operator is guided through a natural workflow that allows fast and complete acquisition.

Acquisition Service
The acquisition service controls the connected hardware devices using the acquisition parameters passed from the main application and sends back the acquired images to the application.

MWL Service
The MWL service obtains the list of examination procedures scheduled for the acquisition console from the HIS/RIS.

MPPS Service
The MPPS service talks to the HIS/RIS in order to complete the IHE scheduled workflow profile (SWF). Its role is to send information about the procedures performed at the acquisition console back to HIS/RIS.

Archive Service
Once the acquisition session is completed all images are scheduled to be automatically sent to configured archive(s). The archive service immediately sends images to the archive. At the end it triggers the storage commitment service. In addition to automatic archiving, the operator can send arbitrary sets of images to any of the configured DICOM storage nodes.

Storage Commitment Service
The storage commitment service requests from the archive confirmation that all sent images are "committed", i.e. stored safely. Once images are committed they became subject for removal (in the case of low storage condition).

SMA Service
The single media archive (SMA) service allows the operator to burn arbitrary sets of images on CD/DVDs. A DICOM CD viewer is appended to the media so the images can be viewed later.

Print Service
The operator will have the option to print images to configured Windows or DICOM printers.
