Merge Mammo™
One workstation. One worklist.
One simple solution for your workflow.
|
Overview
Merge Mammo accelerates productivity in breast imaging by minimizing the cost, inefficiency, training and hassle of moving to digital mammography.
Offered as a stand-alone workstation or as an integrated solution with Fusion Workstation 3.0(1), Merge Mammo is a vendor-neutral digital mammography workstation that lets you display and read multi-modality images—digital mammography, ultrasound, MR or CT—all from a single workstation.
With an increasing consumer-driven demand for this new option in breast cancer diagnosis, and a Digital Mammographic Imaging Screening Trial (DMIST) that supports the benefit from a digital mammogram versus a traditional film mammogram. Merge Mammo can help you meet the challenges of a changing business environment.
Features
Newest features found in Merge Mammo include:
Easily scroll through, arrange stack and view prior studies - omitting non-screening images - for faster, cleaner reads
Efficient Lesion Contouring lets you gain dynamic, quantitative measurements and engaging presentations, simply by clicking and dragging along lesion
Cross-Correlation Tool lets you compare a region of interest form the reference image to that of all other MG images in viewport (including prior studies images) quickly and easily
Advanced plug-and-play version lets you launch Merge Mammo right from the Fusion PACS MX 3.0 workstation, significantly streamlining your workflow
12-bit enabled prints outputs gray-scale images just as clearly and as cleanly as looking at an on-screen image
Windows XP®-based 64-bit architecture increases system responsiveness and memory to support large views/studies
Hanging Protocol Matching lets you match hanging protocols by number of studies loaded for faster image recovery/acquisition (rather than matching by study description)
Line Measurement Tool enables user to set preferred line thickness for improved accuracy and better visibility
Optimum View Tool improves the clarity of subtle anatomic structures so you can zoom in on paired images or particular sections, at increased resolutions
Fanning View improves reads by allowing users to specify spatial orientation on each monitor separately, creating a fanned "chest wall-to-chest wall" view
Windows XP is a registered trademark of Microsoft Corporation.
Reasons to Buy
Merge Mammo is a one-stop center for breast imaging in a digital environment. One workstation now has the power to provide you with full soft-copy (digitalized) workflow, easing you from hard copy (film) to soft copy (digital) views.
Accelerated Workflow
Automated presentation procedures and customizable features make it possible for you to read digitally with the same throughput as hard-copy film.
Mammography, MRI and/or ultrasound studies can be simultaneously displayed, manipulated and reviewed at a single workstation.
The On-demand interface with Fusion archive(s) enables enhanced workflow capabilities—including retrieval of prior studies and a centralized reading worklist.
Image Comparison Made Easy
The robust tools found in Merge Mammo will set a new standard in the way you view and compare images.
Full-resolution viewing provides a fluid, step-through method enabling clinicians to move from section to section in full resolution to ensure complete review of the entire image.
Isolation of the breast image via an algorithm that fits the image to the screen and reduces background areas. Radiologists immediately see the image at maximum size and avoid the distraction of having to manipulate images.
Inverted imaging enables conversion of white (the breast image) to black, while maintaining background (non-breast image as black. This enhances the radiologist's ability to isolate potential problem areas.
Beyond dedicated breast imaging features, Merge Mammo also includes a wide range of standard manipulation and navigation tools.
Please Note: Depending on your your particular transition, digital imaging may incur additional expense, possible inefficiency and potentially longer turnaround times within your enterprise. If required, Merge Healthcare's Professional Services can provide additional expertise that will enable the smoothest transition possible.
Testimonials
"The Merge Mammo read station and software are easy to use and very intuitive. All buttons are intelligently laid out and hanging protocols are robust and simple to set up. Merge Mammo makes it easy to share and consult on difficult cases across our widely dispersed network."
"Our close relationship with Merge's development team has resulted in a feature-rich and efficient product that has made our clinical work much easier. Once we converted to digital mammography, our ongoing experience-based input and corporate collaboration has continued to make Merge Mammo a superb, vendor-neutral, standalone solution."
"Although Merge Mammo is a multi-modality workstation, we still saved money by avoiding the cumulative cost of purchasing several of the modality vendor's dedicated mammography workstations. By acquiring Merge Mammo and new monitors for our existing workstation, instead of five dedicated workstations at $37,000 per unit, we saved $185,000."
"With Merge Mammo, the doctors can actually annotate on the images and then send them back to the Siemens mammo system, so that technologists could see the area they need to spot. The radiologists were shocked that they could do that. Merge Mammo has been an awesome product for us."
"On this single workstation, I can interpret mammograms and sonograms, so if I see a lesion on the mammogram, I can then read the ultrasound study to determine if it's a solid lesion I can biopsy."
